Laser guided installations for precise alignment of screens, structures and projectors
Utilising our own in-house tools, we optimise the display design as part of our 'design for alignment' approach whereby known physical attributes of the screen or projector rigging are introduced and used to accurately position the physical elements of the display system.
Laser-guided installation and 3D alignment services
The optical alignment of a projector’s image on the screen is critical to ensure a seamlessly warped and blended result.
We use laser-guided systems and processes to ensure the installation is accurately built as per the design.
We provide initial site scanning services to obtain a 3D view of the installation space. The scanned site data is imported into CAD and the display design can be precisely positioned within the 3D space. Our data sets only capture the minimum amount of data required to describe the environment, screen shape or surface for the purpose of positioning and alignment of the screen and projectors.
Thereafter, the screen, structure and projector rigging mounts can have physical attributes added to be used for accurate positioning when being installed.
A 3D pan/tilt laser connected to a point cloud node map of the display design is used to precisely position the physical elements of the display.
We can also verify the installation with a post-installation scan of the screen, comparing the as-built scan data against the nominal design, to show deviation analysis to provide install validation, customer confidence and ensure sign-off. Invaluable for acceptance tests.
